Electrode materials for battery applications

A battery stores energy by moving ions between two electrodes through an electrolyte, charging and discharging as they intercalate into an active material coated onto a metal current-collector foil. Electrologic formulates and coats those active materials — for both the anode and the cathode — applying the same electrode-interface discipline used in our CDI work to energy storage instead of water treatment.

Capability
Active materials
Anode and cathode active-material formulations — including graphite and silicon-composite anode chemistries, and layered-oxide or LFP-class cathode chemistries — selected for capacity, rate capability, and cycle life.
Current collectors & coating
Active material, conductive additive, and binder formulated into a slurry and coated onto copper (anode) or aluminum (cathode) current-collector foil, followed by calendering to target density.
Formats
Coated electrode sheet or custom-cut formats, sized for a customer's cell-assembly process.
Applications
Electric-vehicle and stationary energy-storage cells, and consumer-electronics cells.
Electrologic is in active research and development. Material formats and specifications are indicative of the technology category and are not yet fixed for production.
